SAB company, producer of sausages in Azerbaijan, has completed the development of a new joint Russian-Azerbaijani product, Rovshan Abdullayev, the company’s chief marketing manager, told Trend.
“A new type of halal (food prepared according to Islamic law, free from pork products, alcohol and certain other ingredients) product will appear in Baku supermarkets within the next two months,” the manager said. “We intend to start its production in early April. Russian producers are developing the design of the joint product, and it is almost complete. The Products will be manufactured under the brand name of a well-known Russian company.”
“Products will be mainly sold in Russia, and certain volumes will be sold in the domestic market,” Abdullayev noted. “Primary production volumes are expected to be small, but the plan is to increase them as demand grows in the Russian and Azerbaijani markets.”
Presently, the company produces 60 types of meat products and 50 types of dairy products under SAB brand.
The company’s production facility is located in Azerbaijan’s Khirdalan city.
