Azerbaijan exported products worth over $4 billion from January through April 2020, Trend reports on May 18 referring to the data of the country’s State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the data, 43.5 percent of the exports accounted for Italy, 8.3 percent - for Turkey, 6 percent - for Israel, 4.5 percent - for Greece, 4 percent - for India, 3.4 percent - for the Czech Republic, 3.3 percent - for Russia, 2.8 percent - for Tunisia and Portugal each, 2.5 percent - for Georgia, 2.3 percent - for Germany and Ukraine each, 2.1 percent - for Vietnam, 2 percent - for Austria, and 10.2 percent - for other countries.
In the field of non-oil production, less than a third of the total number of products was sent to Russia (31.3 percent), 24.3 percent accounted for export to Turkey, 10 percent - to Georgia, 9.5 percent - to Switzerland, 2.8 percent - to China and Ukraine each, 2.6 percent - to Italy, and 1.8 percent - to Kazakhstan.
The export of fresh vegetables grew by 9.4 percent compared to the same period in 2019, sugar - by 16.3 percent, vegetable oils - 2.8 times, tea - 5.4 percent, margarine - 2.1 times, cotton fiber - by 15.9 percent, cotton yarn - by 40.3 percent, polyethylene - 15.8 percent, pipes from ferrous metals - 1.8 times.
Export of fresh fruits decreased by 27.5 percent, wines and grape musts - by 69 percent, fruit and vegetable juices - by 14.5 percent, unprocessed aluminum - by 9.8 percent, and bentonite clay - by 34.8 percent.
