Goychay Sud, the largest milk processing plant in Azerbaijan, ramped up the manufacturing of dairy products by 12-15 percent over the past four months of 2020 compared to the same period of last year, a source at the enterprise told Trend.
According to the source, in April, the volume of dairy products amounted to 730 tons, while in 2019 and in the first two months of 2020 this indicator was at the level of 700 tons of products. It's expected to bring this figure to 760-800 tons of products in the second half of this year.
“Total production volumes increased at the expense of cheese products, output of which is 530–550 tons per month,” the source said. “In the coming months, the enterprise plans to increase production of milk in liter packages by at least 10-15 percent.”
The plant has been operating in the Goychay district of Azerbaijan for 20 years. It supplies milk and dairy products, as well as fruit juices, which are mainly exported abroad. The dairy products of the plant are fully sold in the domestic market, in the Goychay district, as well as in Baku and Sumgayit cities.
