The Turkmen enterprise for the production of dressing materials of the Turkmendermansenagat Association produces 6,000 protective masks a day, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.
Since the beginning of the year, the enterprise's workshops have produced 25 types of products totaling more than 8 million Turkmen manat ($2.2 million), which provided a high growth rate compared to the same period last year.
In addition, since June of this year, the company has been producing disposable medical gowns made of non-woven materials for surgical operations. Spunbond is used for the production of workwear.
The company uses equipment from companies in Germany, Italy, the US, Switzerland, Japan, France, and Turkey.
Earlier Turkmenistan has introduced the mandatory wearing of masks in public places. It is also mandatory to wear masks for drivers of vehicles, regardless of the form of ownership of the vehicle and the number of passengers.
The wearing of masks has become mandatory as a preventive measure against the spread of infectious diseases.
