Kostanay Tractor Plant operating in Kazakhstan will start manufacturing plastic spare parts for Kirovets tractors, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.
To increase the local content, the company's own investments in equipment at the first stage alone amounted to 85 million tenge ($201,000).
Currently the plant is preparing for the arrival of the expert commission of the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant. In case of successful certification, the Kazakh enterprise in Kostanay will produce components not only for its own needs, but also for all Kirovets tractors, which is about 3,000 tractors per year.
Kostanay Tractor Plant is the official manufacturer of Kirovets tractors in Kazakhstan. Kirovets tractors of Kazakh production are gaining their place in the market of Kazakhstan. In just a year of operation of the Kostanay Tractor Plant, more than 280 farmers bought its equipment.
Kazakhstan has manufactured 58,249 spare parts during ten months of 2020 and 2,300 in Oct. 2020, which is 12.6 percent and 68 percent less respectively than during the same period of 2019.
