Machinery and equipment, cars, trailers and semitrailers worth 352.2 million manat ($207.1 million) were produced in Azerbaijan in 2020, Trend reports citing data from the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
Production of machinery and equipment in 2020 increased by 35.7 percent compared to 2019, other vehicles - by 47 percent.
According to the Committee, 1,949 passenger cars were produced in Azerbaijan in 2020, which is 411 less than in 2019. As of January 1 of this year, there are 199 stocks of cars. Also, during the reporting period, 300 tractors were produced in the country and the number of their stocks is 99 as of January 1, 2021.
Azerbaijan's GDP in 2020 amounted to 72.4 billion manat ($42.5 billion), which is 4.3 percent less than in 2019.
According to the data, in 2020, value added in the non-oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 2.6 percent.
