Azerbaijan imported dairy products from Russia worth $14 million in 2020, Trend reports citing the Federal Center for the Development of Export of Agricultural Products of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the center, Azerbaijan entered the top five largest buyers of Russian dairy products in 2020.
"The post-Soviet states remain the leading buyers of dairy products from Russia. In particular, exports to Kazakhstan increased by 8.7 percent to $132 million, and to Belarus - by 7.5 percent to $45 million. Deliveries to Ukraine in 2020 is estimated at $45 million (an increase of 18 percent)," said the statement.
In general, the export of dairy products last year increased by 16 percent to 207,000 tons in physical terms and by 11 percent to $318 million.
Last year, Russia supplied agricultural products worth $706 million to the Azerbaijani markets.
