A meeting of the Coordinating Council for Accelerated Industrial Development of Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region chaired by the governor of Mangystau region Nurlan Nogayev was held, Trend reports with reference to the regional administration.
Two investment projects in the field of sea tourism were considered during the meeting. In particular, a local businessman plans to build a sea berth in microdistrict 14a of Aktau city.
There will be a cafe for visitors on the first floor and a comfortable waiting room on the second floor for those who want to sail a boat. The new berth is expected to be put into operation in the first half of 2023.
A project for the construction of a berth intended for fishing in the Atash settlement of Tupkaragan district was submitted to the Coordinating Council.
“First, it is necessary to create a shipping terminal and build a fence,” project manager Kanat Kydyr said. “Then a fish factory will be built on the area. We plan to produce smoked, canned fish there. Moreover, we will begin the construction of administrative facilities.”
“We plan to build a berth for cruise ship trips at the third stage,” Kydyr said. “The project is expected to be implemented in 2025. Some 50 people will be provided with permanent jobs.”
The members of the coordinating council approved the proposed projects. The governor of the region stressed that the local executive structures will render the necessary support for the projects being implemented. Nogayev gave a number of specific instructions following the meeting.
