BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 23. Iran’s non-oil exports through the customs of the Kermanshah Province (western Iran), increased by 1 percent in value and 6 percent in volume, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, an official of the Kermanshah Province Customs Office Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh told Fars News Agency, Trend reports.
“Over 11 months, a total of 6.25 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $2.47 billion were exported through the province’s customs,” Abbaszadeh said.
Of the mentioned amount, 2.2 million tons worth more than $843 million were exported through Parvizkhan border checkpoint of the province, he added.
The official also pointed out that 1.84 million tons of non-oil products worth about $730 million were exported through Khosravi border checkpoint in 11 months.
“In addition, 1.12 million tons of products worth $447 million were exported through the Sumar border market within the mentioned period,” Abbazsadeh noted.
The customs official did not mention the value and volume of non-oil exports via the province’s other border markets.
According to him, the main exported goods via province’s customs for the reporting period were fittings, ceramics, fruits and vegetables, construction materials, dairy products, rubber products and etc.
There are 2 border checkpoints and 5 border markets in Kermanshah Province of Iran. More than $3 billion worth of non-oil products are exported through the mentioned customs and border markets annually.
