Azerbaijani heat supply operator increases amount of boiler houses

By Emil Ismayilov - Trend: Over the past 10 years, the number of Azeristiliktechizat OJSC (heat supply operator of Azerbaijan) boiler houses increased by more than three-times, the company told Trend on Nov. 6.

The number of active boiler houses will reach 515 during the 2013-2014 heating season which will begin in Azerbaijan on Nov. 15, whereas in the 2004-2005 heating season, the number of boiler houses was 166, the company said.

Out of the total boiler houses on the company's 2013-2014 balance sheet, some 328 boilers served Baku. Some 115 heat distribution posts also account for the Azerbaijani capital.

Over the past 10 years, extensive works were carried out on the restoration and development of the centralized heating system in Azerbaijan.
