In June 2019, imports of lubricants to Georgia amounted to 1,900 tons, which is more than 100 tons in May, Trend reports with reference to the Georgian Oil Products Importers Union.
The largest volume of imports of lubricants to Georgia in June 2019 was from Iran - 470 tons, which is 24.7 percent of total imports, followed by Turkey (400 tons, up by 21.1 percent), Russia (300 tons, up by 15.8 percent).
In January-June, imports of lubricants into Georgia amounted to 9,500 tons, which is 300 tons more than the same period last year.
In June 2019, aviation fuel imports to Georgia amounted to 8,800 tons, which is 3,200 tons less than in May.
According to the Union, the largest volume of aviation fuel imports in June 2019 was from Egypt - 4,000 tons, which is 45.5 percent of total imports. Then comes Turkey: 3,100 tons (up by 35.2 percent) and Turkmenistan - 1,700 tons (up by 19.3 percent).
In January-June, aviation fuel imports to Georgia amounted to 51,700 tons, which is 10,400 tons more than during the same period last year (41,300 tons).
In June, imports of oil bitumen to Georgia amounted to 19,500 tons, which is 5,300 tons more than in May.
In January-June, imports of waste oil refining amounted to 63,700 tons, which is 30,100 tons more than the same period last year (33,600 tons).
In June 2019, imports of liquefied gas from the CIS countries to Georgia amounted to 1,400 tons, which is more than 900 tons higher than in May.
In January-June, imported liquefied gas to Georgia amounted to 7,100 tons, which is 900 tons more than the same period last year (6,200 tons).
The increase in imports of liquefied gas is mainly due to the use of liquefied gas in the automotive industry, which will be continuing in the future.
