Gas prices in Georgia on average vary between 2.45-2.57 lari (86-90 cents) per liter, Trend reports referring to the report of the Georgian Union of Petroleum Importers.
As reported, the average price of premium gasoline is 2.59-2.65 lari / liter (91-93 cents), for diesel fuel Euro 4 - 2.69-2.71 lari / liter (94-95 cents), for diesel fuel Euro 5 - 2.66-2.79 lari / liter (93-98 cents).
The number of gas stations operating in Georgia at the end of 2019 has reached about 1,150.
“This year, the lari has significantly depreciated against the dollar. Currently, the lari exchange rate is 1 USD/2.86 GEL, whereas at the beginning of the year it was 1 USD/2.67 GEL. However, the depreciation of the lari was partially offset by periodic international price cuts, which allowed companies to maintain a more stable price for petroleum products this year,” the report said.
