Esfahan Oil Refining Company (EORC) in Esfahan province (central Iran) has spent 30 percent of its annual revenues to improve the quality of products, said the CEO of EORC Morteza Ebrahimi, Trend reports citing the company’s official website.
According to Ebrahimi, in total, 67 trillion rials (about $1.59 billion) had been spent on improving the quality of diesel, the commissioning of No. 3 distillation plant and improving the quality of mazut by the end of last Iranian year (March 19, 2020).
Ebrahimi added that the company spent more than 28 trillion rials (about $668 million) from March 21, 2014 to March 20, 2018.
The CEO said that distillation Plant No. 3 was put into operation in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
Ebrahimi said that there is 86 percent progress in the construction of the plant to improve the quality of diesel and this facility is expected to be commissioned this Iranian year (began March 20, 2020).
Iran's Esfahan Oil Refining Company (EORC) was established in 1979. The company's refinery produces about 12 million liters of gasoline per day in accordance with the standard Euro 5, 2 million liters of diesel in accordance with the standards of Euro 4 and 5. With the commissioning of the company's diesel filtration plant in the current Iranian year (starting March 20, 2020) the company will produce 22 million liters of diesel daily in accordance with the Euro 5 standard.
