The Turkish BOTAŞ International Limited (BIL) company has shipped over 3.4 billion barrels of oil from the Ceyhan Oil Terminal to date, Trend reports citing the company's report.
According to the report, 4,540 tankers with oil have been loaded from the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli (ACG) field at the terminal so far.
Since early 2020, 159 tankers with oil from ACG have been shipped at the Ceyhan Oil Terminal, which is about 123.4 million barrels of oil.
In 2001, BOTAŞ International Limited was restructured to operate the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. The first loading of tanker with crude oil of BTC at the Ceyhan terminal took place on June 2, 2006.
Oil produced at the ACG field located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea is transported to world markets.
