The network of Uzbekneftegaz gas stations, which sells fuel under the UNG brand, has reduced prices for oil products, Trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.
The cost of imported diesel fuel from November 1 will be reduced from 6,500 soums to 6,000 soums (from $0.6274 to $0.5791).
“We are constantly analyzing the issue of price formation for oil products sold at the company's filling stations. We believe that if the cost of production decreases, then we must reduce the cost of its sale. And this practice will continue,” Director of UNG Petro Mirzokhid Musaev explained.
State regulation of retail prices for RON-80 gasoline and diesel fuel, including the EKO brand, has been canceled in Uzbekistan from May 1, 2020.
The cost of imported RON-92 gasoline has been reduced from 6,000 soums to 5,500 soums (from $0.5791 to $0.5308) from September 15, but it is still higher than the May price which amounted to 5,000 soums ($0.4826).
The cost of locally produced RON-92 gasoline was reduced from 5,800 soums to 5,500 soums (from $0.5598 to $0.5308).
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan plans to abandon the production of RON-80 gasoline. After modernization and reconstruction, the Bukhara refinery will produce RON-91, RON-93 and RON-95 gasoline, as well as Euro-5 diesel fuel.
