ERIELL Group International Oil Service Company for the first time started drilling wells with a directional borehole in one of the most difficult gas fields "Mustakillikning 25 yilligi" with a high content of hydrogen sulfide (up to seven percent) in the Surkhandarya region in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing ERIELL Group.
When drilling a well at one point, the product will be produced far from the rig. This technique will make it possible to obtain a product in difficult geological conditions of the Surkhandarya region.
Despite the difficulties, ERIELL Group managed to achieve its goal. In particular, drilling of well No. 403 "Mustakillikning 25 yilligi" was completed in October with a vertical deviation of up to 1,000 meters and a total depth of 3,730 meters.
It is planned to receive gas in the volume of up to 500,000cubic meters per day, which is rare for such wells in Uzbekistan.
The project is being implemented within the framework of a production sharing agreement for the Uzbekiston Mustakilligi investment block by Surhan Gas Chemical Operating Company LLC with the involvement of ERIELL Group.
The project is aimed at organizing the annual processing of five billion cubic meters of natural gas with a high content of hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, and mercaptans.
The project is planned to be implemented in two stages, with the first stage from 2018 to 2023. It will include geological exploration, well drilling, construction of field infrastructure, and a gas processing plant.
At the second stage - from 2023 to 2025 - it is planned to build a gas chemical complex. It will produce up to 500,000 tons of polymer-based products per year.
ERIELL Group continues to work in this direction. During 2020-2023, it is planned to drill 29 similar wells at the field with a design depth of up to 4,200 meters and a vertical deviation. This will increase the production of hydrocarbons and comprehensively develop the southern regions of Uzbekistan.
