The installation of pipelines for the Jask oil terminal in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), which is the second largest oil terminal in Iran, will begin next week, administrator of Jask oil terminal, Vahid Maleki said, Trend reports citing Pars Oil and Gas Company’s website.
Maleki noted that the length of the pipelines to be installed will be 6 km.
The official added that the installation of the offshore part of the Jask oil terminal is expected for completion in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 20 through February 18, 2021).
"The Jask oil terminal is being developed as part of a project to transport crude oil from Goureh to Jask. This oil terminal is being built on 60 hectares of land with an investment of 260 million euro," he said.
Maleki emphasized that in addition to reducing Iran's dependence on the Strait of Hormuz, the Jask terminal will guarantee the durable export of crude oil and gas condensate. The first phase of the terminal will be launched by the end of the current Iranian year (until March 21, 2021).
