Iran's Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company attaches great importance to domestic production of equipment and spare parts used in the refineries, Managing Director of the company, Hashem Namvar said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
According to Namvar, more than 5,000 spare parts for the company's refineries have been produced with the help of local manufacturers from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020) to March 2, 2021.
He added that 3,950 spare parts and equipment were produced with the help of local manufacturers in the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through September 21, 2020).
The director stressed that while in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, through March 19, 2020), more than 14,000 spare parts and equipment for the company's refineries were produced domestically.
According to him, the Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company has saved 9.87 trillion rials (about $235 million) with the domestic production of spare parts and equipment.
The refinery of Iran's Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company processes 350,000 barrels of crude oil and gas condensate per day. In this regard, the company ranks third among Iranian oil companies. The company produces liquefied gas, gasoline, white oil, diesel, mazut, solvent 402, lube cut, sulfur, and other products.
