A special workshop of Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC launched the production of the first products on the line for the production of hoses and fittings for the drip irrigation system, trend reports referring to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
In accordance with the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan on the program for the localization of production of products in demand in the domestic and foreign markets for 2020-2021, a localization program for Uzbekneftegaz is being implemented.
In particular, within the framework of the program, the second line of the project for the processing of polymer products manufactured by Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC, the production of irrigation installations and components for them necessary for agriculture in the republic has been successfully implemented.
As part of the project, Chinese Qingdao Xindacheng plastic machinery Co., Ltd. installed a line for the production of polymer parts for the drip irrigation system for a total of $470,200.
Since May of this year, in a special workshop of Shurtan Gas Chemical Complex LLC, the first products have been launched on the line for the production of hoses and fittings for the drip irrigation system with an annual capacity of 10,000 hectares.
It is noted that due to the introduction of this system, Uzbekistan will achieve savings in water demand during irrigation of agricultural land on average up to 34 million cubic meters.
At the same time, together with the Ministry of Water Resources of Uzbekistan, practical work is being carried out to supply the producers of agricultural products of the country with a drip irrigation system and to make wider use of its capabilities.
Uzbekneftegaz noted that the drip irrigation system is a versatile structure and is used for watering horticulture, cotton growing, melons, and greenhouses.
The first line of this project with a capacity of 2,000 hectares was launched in 2009. Over the past period, products were sold for a total of about 20 billion soums ($1.9 million).
