Uzbek Uztransgas company suffered losses worth $80.9 million in the first quarter of 2021, Trend reports referring to Uzbekistan’s United Portal of Corporate Information.
The mentioned losses however are less than during the same period of 2020, when the figure amounted to over $187.1 million.
The organization's revenue in the first quarter of this year was 3.5 times less than in the three months of the previous year.
The joint-stock company is engaged in the supply of gas to consumers in Uzbekistan, and also exports it. From January through March 2021, $49.3 million worth of gas was shipped to foreign markets, which is 63.7 percent less than last year.
Earlier it was reported that Uztransgaz headed the Top 10 enterprises with state participation, which received the largest losses in 2020.
