BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. Iran's West Oil and Gas Production Company (WOGPC) produced approximately 13.6 million barrels of crude oil in the first 6 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2023), Executive Director of the company Mahmoud Nasseri said, Trend reports.
According to Nasseri, on average, the company produced 73,000 barrels of crude oil per day from its oil fields within the specified period.
He also said that currently, the company focuses on the development of Danan, Dehloran, Sumar, Saman and Delavar oil fields. If these fields are developed, the company's crude oil production will increase significantly.
The West Oil and Gas Production Company is a subsidiary of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) that operates in the provinces of Kermanshah, Ilam and Lorestan. The company was established in 1999 and can produce 165,000 barrels of crude oil and 7 million cubic meters of gas per day from 12 oil fields and 1 gas field. However, the company has not developed seven oil fields and six gas fields that it owns.
