BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29. Azerbaijan has sent a shipment of oil to Uzbekistan for the first time, Trend reports.
According to the data of the State Statistics Committee for the first half of 2024, 892 tons of crude oil were sent from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan.
SOCAR refrained from clarifying the details.
To note, three oil refineries operate in Uzbekistan - Aryk, Fergana, and Bukhara (total capacity: about 45–50 thousand barrels per day). Earlier, Uzbekistan invited SOCAR to participate in the modernization of the Bukhara refinery and its provision of certain volumes of oil.
