BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. Azerbaijan has imported 19,745 tons of RON92 motor gasoline from January through June 2024, totaling $17 million, Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan shows that this is a 33 percent increase in value and a 17 percent rise in quantity compared to the same period last year.
After a hiatus of more than half a dozen years, a whopping 5,134 tons of gasoline worth a cool $5.3 million were brought in from Bulgaria during this timeframe.
Additionally, 14,611 tons of gasoline were imported from Russia, three times more than the previous year, amounting to $11.7 million, which is a 4.5-fold increase.
In 2023, fuel consumers in Azerbaijan burned through a whopping 3.063 billion manat on motor gasoline and diesel, marking an 8.1 percent surge from 2022.
