BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. The underground gas storage facilities (UGS) in Europe are almost 92 percent full, the data of GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe, an association representing the interests of European gas infrastructure operators) said, Trend reports.
The total amount of gas in storage is about 100 bcm, which is a record for this time of the year but less than in 2023, when the storage facilities were filled to 92.5 percent.
Austria's storage capacity reached more than 92.5 percent full, France's 89 percent, Germany's more than 94 percent, and Italy's more than 92.5 percent.
The weather this week is warmer than the previous week in most of Europe. Europe's liquefied natural gas regasification capacity is 38 percent utilized.
The average gas price in August in Europe is $435 per 1,000 cubic meters.
