BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 14. Azerbaijan produced 37.1 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas from January through September 2024, which is almost 1.1 billion cubic meters more than the same period in 2023
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Energy shows that the total production comprised 9.8 bcm from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field against 9.6 bcm in the first nine months of last year.
Besides, 20.5 bcm of the gas production accounted for Shah Deniz field (versus 19.7 bcm from January through September 2023), 1.1 bcm - Absheron field (operated since July 2023), and 5.7 bcm - State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) compared to 6.4 bcm over the nine months of last year.
In 2023, Azerbaijan's total gas production reached 48.5 bcm, reflecting a 3.8 percent rise from 2022.
