BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 7. Croatia has been filling its tank by ramping up crude oil and petroleum products' purchases from Azerbaijan over the past 11 months of 2024.

Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Service of Azerbaijan indicates that this figure amounted to $873.4 million, up $338.41 million (63.2 percent) year on year.

The volume of mentioned goods' export from Azerbaijan to Croatia equaled 1.4 million tons, representing a growth of 544,476 tons (61.1 percent) compared to 11 months of 2023.

Thus, during the reporting period, Croatia took 3rd place among the Azerbaijani oil importers.

Meanwhile, the top importer of Azerbaijan's crude oil and petroleum products received from bituminous rocks in 11 months in 2024 was Italy. The volume of exports to Italy equaled 9.9 million tons, and the value was $6.1 billion, which is a year-on-year decrease of $517.5 million (7.8 percent) in value and 581,400 tons (5.6 percent) in volume.
