Azerbaijan ranks among top nations with cheapest gasoline prices

BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 15. Azerbaijan ranked among the nations with the most affordable gasoline prices as of January 13.

Data obtained by Trend from the Global Petrol Prices portal shows that the price of gasoline in Azerbaijan was $0.647 per liter.

Iran had the cheapest gasoline at $0.029 per liter, while the most expensive gasoline is in Hong Kong at $3.389 per liter.

The top 20 countries with the cheapest gasoline included Libya (three cents), Venezuela ($0.035), Angola ($0.328), Egypt ($0.337), Algeria ($0.338), Kuwait (34 cents), Turkmenistan ($0.427), Malaysia ($0.455), Kazakhstan ($0.461), Bahrain ($0.531), Bolivia ($0.541), Qatar ($0.577), Russia ($0.586), Oman ($0.621), Saudi Arabia ($0.621), Iraq ($0.649), UAE ($0.681), and Ecuador ($0.698).

Meanwhile, the top 10 countries with the most expensive gasoline were Iceland ($2.233), Denmark ($2.067), Israel ($2.053), Singapore ($2.027), the Netherlands ($2.015), Liechtenstein ($1.962), Switzerland ($1.933), Norway ($1.924), and Barbados ($1.919).

To note, the varying gasoline prices in different countries are influenced by different types of fuel taxes and subsidies.
