BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Azerbaijan produced 6.9 million tons of crude oil (including condensate) from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that crude oil output decreased by 397,500 tons, marking a decline of 5.5 percent compared to the same period of 2024 (7.3 million tons).
Meanwhile, the volume of crude oil reserves in the country stood at 225,200 tons as of April 1, 2025.
The total production value in the mining industry from January through March 2025 amounted to 9.9 billion manat ($5.8 billion), reflecting a three percent decrease compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The main product of the sector—marketable oil—accounted for 6.8 million tons. Marketable natural gas output reached 9.8 billion cubic meters. While marketable oil production dropped by 5.5 percent compared to the same period last year, marketable gas production increased by 1.1 percent.
