BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. The value of crude oil and natural gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 9.1 billion manat ($5.3 billion) from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure is 311.4 million manat ($183.1 billion), or 3.3 percent lower compared to the same period of 2024 (9.4 billion manat ($5.5 billion)).
The total production value in the mining industry from January through March 2025 amounted to 9.9 billion manat ($5.8 billion), reflecting a three percent decrease compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
The main product of the sector—marketable oil—accounted for 6.8 million tons. Marketable natural gas output reached 9.8 billion cubic meters. While marketable oil production dropped by 5.5 percent compared to the same period last year, marketable gas production increased by 1.1 percent.
