BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 16. Azerbaijan produced 12.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from
the State Statistical Committee indicates that this quantified
metric stands at 114.5 million cubic meters, reflecting a decrement
of 0.9 percent in juxtaposition to the analogous timeframe of 2024,
which recorded a volumetric total of 12.6 billion cubic meters.
The aggregate output valuation within the extractive sector from
January to March 2025 reached 9.9 billion manat ($5.8 billion),
indicating a contraction of three percent relative to the analogous
timeframe of the preceding fiscal year.
The primary output of the industry—commercially viable
oil—constituted 6.8 million metric tons. Marketable natural gas
production achieved a volume of 9.8 billion cubic meters. Despite a
contraction in marketable oil output by 5.5 percent relative to the
corresponding timeframe of the previous year, there was a marginal
uptick in marketable gas production, which rose by 1.1 percent.
