BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 23. Azerbaijan exported 403,900 tons of crude oil and crude oil products obtained from bituminous rocks worth $224.8 million to Romania from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee indicates that the export volume grew by 238,400 tons (2.4 times) and the value - $132.5 million (2.4 times).
During the period, Romania ranked fifth among the top importers of Azerbaijani oil.
The total volume of crude oil and crude oil products from bituminous rocks exported by Azerbaijan to 13 countries in the first quarter of 2025 was six million tons, and the value exceeded $3.3 billion.
The exported items included oil and petroleum products derived from bituminous rocks, excluding crude oil, and those with a petroleum content of 70 percent or more by weight.
