ASTANA, Kazakhstan, June 25. Askhat Khassenov, Chairman of the Management Board of KazMunayGas (KMG), held a production meeting with the management of Kazakhoil Aktobe LLP, Trend reports via KazMunayGas.
During the meeting, Khassenov was informed that the company's oil production for the first five months of 2025 amounted to 193,600 tons. At the same time, gas production during this period reached 329.2 million cubic meters (an increase of 8.3 percent). The plan for the current year is 480,100 tons of oil and more than 798 million cubic meters of gas.
Overall, the expected additional oil production from drilling and pilot industrial testing in 2025 will amount to 45,100 tons of oil against the planned figure of 40,400 tons.
According to company information, drilling operations are currently underway at the Alibekmola and Kozhasai fields. In addition, geological and technical measures (GTMs) are being implemented to enhance oil recovery.
“Among the strategic tasks aimed at improving efficiency and enhancing the formation water treatment system at the Alibekmola field, the company intends to implement a project for the construction and modernization of a formation water treatment unit. Currently, project and estimate documentation is being developed for the construction of a reservoir and a mechanical impurity capture unit,” the statement says.
Moreover, to expand the infrastructure of the Alibekmola field, including the creation of the necessary backup equipment for the gas complex and to reduce downtime during current and major repairs, a commercial gas compressor with a capacity of 25,000 cubic meters per hour will be built.
To increase reserves, drilling of five wells annually is planned over the next five years.
KazakhOil Aktobe also continues to contribute to regional development. Since the beginning of the year, within the framework of contractual obligations, the company has allocated 200 million tenge (approximately $380,000) to the social sector of the Aktobe region.
Following the meeting, Askhat Khassenov instructed to improve the efficiency of field operations, effectively implement drilling and GTM plans, increase oil production volumes, and improve social and living conditions.
