ASTANA, Kazakhstan, August 27. In Russia’s Moscow, Chairman of the Management Board of KazMunayGas (KMG) Askhat Khassenov held a meeting with the President of PJSC Transneft, Nikolai Tokarev, and discussed key issues and prospects for cooperation in the field of oil transportation, Trend reports via KazMunayGas.
In the course of the meeting, Khassenov emphasized the important role of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), Atyrau - Samara, and Makhachkala - Novorossiysk routes, through which Kazakh oil is exported.
Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their readiness to further expand bilateral cooperation.
Transneft, a Russian state-owned company founded in 1993 and headquartered in Moscow, is the world’s largest operator of trunk oil pipelines. It manages a network of more than 70,000 km of pipelines and transports approximately 80 percent of the oil and 30 percent of the oil products produced in Russia.
