The total assets of Azerbaijan’s ASB Bank decreased by 0.5 percent in the third quarter of 2020, compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the bank’s balance sheet.
According to the sheet, as of the late September 2020 the bank’s total assets made up 935.1 million manat ($550 million), which is 4.5 million manat ($2.6 million) less than in the same period of 2019.
Most of them (48.1 percent) accounted for deposits with other banks and financial institutions, which lowered by 12.9 percent, up to 450.1 million manat ($264.7 million).
The volume of cash and its equivalents declined by 25.2 percent, amounting to 16.4 million manat ($9.6 million).
From January through September 2020, total liabilities of the ASB Bank reduced up to 831.2 million manat ($488.9 million).
Meanwhile, the overwhelming part of the bank’s liabilities (79.7 percent) accounted for deposits with other banks and financial institutions, the volume of which went down by 1.3 percent compared to the same period of last year, up to 662.3 million manat ($389.5 million). The bank’s investments to other banks and financial institutions amounted to 43.4 million manat ($25.5 million) since the early 2020 (down by 3 percent).
According to the sheet, the bank’s own capital made up 98.1 million manat ($57.7 million), growing by 6.7 percent.
