The shares of the Kizilkumcement Company, the largest enterprise in Uzbekistan's cement industry, in April 2021 went through 958 transactions for 1.2 billion soums ($114,138), becoming the leader in terms of the number of purchase and sale transactions, Trend reports referring to the Toshkent Republican Stock Exchange.
According to the stock exchange, the second place is taken by Quartz JSC, a joint-venture company specializing in manufacturing and supplying engineered quartz surfaces, with 857 transactions, and the third is place was taken by the Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, whose shares went through 625 transactions.
It is reported that the bulk of transactions with Kizilkumcement securities fell on the last 10 days of April.
In total, from April 20 to 3, 601 transactions were made for 650.9 million soums ($61,910). The growth of interest in securities was observed after the publication of the financial statements of the organization for the first quarter.
It is noted that the company's net profit reached 105.2 billion soums ($10 million), which is 61 percent more than in the same period last year.
Comparing the closing prices for the securities of Kizilkumcement on March 31 and April 30, the issuer's securities increased by 41.27 percent, or from 5,100 to 7,205 soums over the month ($0.48-$0.69).
