BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 8. The volume of remittances by individuals from the UAE to Azerbaijan amounted to $7.58 million by the end of the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.
Calculations based on the data of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan show that this indicator increased by 0.95 percent, or $73,000, compared to the first quarter last year.
The share of remittances from the UAE in the total volume of remittances is 2.6 percent.
To note, the volume of remittances by individuals from the UAE to Azerbaijan amounted to $29.7 million in 2023.
Overall, the volume of remittances by individuals from abroad to Azerbaijan amounted to $1.6 billion last year.
