BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21. The volume of remittances by individuals from Ireland to Azerbaijan significantly increased, reaching $4.9 million in the first half of 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this indicator increased by 31.36 percent compared to the same period last year.
The share of transfers from Ireland in the total volume of transfers is 0.9 percent.
The total volume of remittances by individuals from Ireland to Azerbaijan amounted to $8.77 million by the end of 2023, while the volume of remittances by individuals from foreign countries to Azerbaijan amounted to $1.65 billion.
