BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 27. Azerbaijan's money supply in manat terms (M2) grew by 1.1 billion manat ($647 million) or 3.56 percent as of November 1, 2024, compared to the same period last year (from 33.4 billion manat ($19.6 billion) to 34.6 billion manat ($20.3 billion), Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), cash supply in circulation (M0) increased by 807.1 million manat ($474.7 million) (5.4 percent) over the year, from 14.9 billion manat ($8.7 billion) to 15.7 billion manat ($9.2 billion), and expanded money supply (M3) increased by 1.5 billion manat ($882,300) (3.63 percent) to 44.4 billion manat ($26.1 billion) (against 42.8 billion manat or $25.1 a year earlier).
The money supply for transactions (M1) decreased by 650.1 million manat ($382.4 million) (2.32 percent) from 28 billion manat ($16.4 billion) to 27.4 billion manat ($16.1 billion) over the year.
