BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. The monetary base in Azerbaijan stood at 20.8 billion manat, or $12.2 billion, on November 29, 2024, marking a 12.23 percent increase, or 2.24 billion manat ($1.31 billion) more than the corresponding period in 2023.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that the monetary base surpassed 18.3 billion manat, or $10.7 billion, in the corresponding period of 2023.
As of November this year, the monetary base is 0.5 percent, or 101.9 million manat ($59.9), more than the figure recorded on October 31, 2024.
To note, the monetary base comprises cash, free bank reserves, and compulsory reserves of commercial banks in circulation.
