BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 7. Representatives of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) will participate in the World Energy Congress, to be held in Istanbul on October 9-11 under the slogan "Energy is Future," Trend reports via an informed source.
The congress' panel session titled "Future Prospects for the Global and Turkish Energy Sectors" schedules to feature a speech by General Director of SOCAR Türkiye Energy A.S. (STEAS) Elchin Ibadov on October 9.
The congress speakers will also include leaders from energy ministers of Türkiye and several neighboring European countries, as well as heads of Turkish, Russian, and EU companies.
The event will shine a light on several hot-button issues, including the state of play in the global and Turkish energy sectors. There will be a deep dive into investments in renewable energy, with a few panels rolling up their sleeves to tackle solar energy development. The attendees will also explore the bright future of hydrogen energy, as well as the nuts and bolts of waste-to-energy technologies that can turn trash into treasure.
Additionally, discussions will focus on measures to boost energy efficiency and take a hard look at the carbon footprint left by various industries.
