BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. The Gulabird small hydropower plant (HPP) has produced 69.9 million kWh of electricity so far.
Data obtained by Trend from the Azerbaijan's Ministry of Energy shows that at the pressurized diversion-type station with a total capacity of eight MW, 69.9 million kWh of electricity has been produced from the date of its commissioning until February 1.
To note, small HPPs produce environmentally clean electricity, with no greenhouse gas emissions.
The Gulabird HPP, located on the Hakari River in the Lachin district, was commissioned after restoration on February 14, 2021.
