Astana, Kazakhstan, June 24
By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend:
The Kazakh National Space Agency Kazcosmos is ready to provide the state agencies and organizations with remote sensing photos free of charge, chairman of the Kazakh National Space Agency Talgat Musabayev said during a government hour in the Majilis on June 23.
"At present, the state agencies have great interest in using remote sensing data in the implementation of sectoral programs," Musabayev added. "However, they offer to render these services free of charge. Kazcosmos can provide state agencies and organizations with remote sensing photos, free of charge- in case of allocating 2.5 billion tenge (183.51 tenge to $1) for operating costs annually."
This would prevent duplication of budget programs to solve the same problems by different ministries and departments.
"In general, remote sensing space system will increase the country's export capacity by 6.5 billion tenge per year," he said. "This contributes to its efficient use to resolve the problems in the economy in the future."
