In June 2018, the number of phishing attacks in Azerbaijan’s segment of Internet increased by 33.3 percent compared to April, according to Netcraft analytical company's report, posted on the company's website.
According to the report, one phishing attack productive for scammers accounted for 411 sites in the .az domain in Azerbaijan, which accounts for 0.24 percent of all number of online resources registered in the .az domain.
The analysis is based on the Netcraft Toolbar program, which is a plug-in for browsers. The program notifies users of a potentially dangerous Internet resources and prevention of a phishing attack.
According to Netcraft, one phishing attack accounted for 305 sites in Ukraine, 1,126 sites – in Uzbekistan, 484 sites – in Russia, 430 sites – in Kyrgyzstan, 572 sites – in Belarus, 288 sites – in Armenia, 554 sites – in Kazakhstan, 251 sites - in Georgia.
