Tanzania’s television and radio channels - Wasafi TV and Wasafi FM have become available from the Azerbaijani satellite Azerspace / Africasat-1a, the Flysat news portal, which publishes tables of satellite frequencies, reported Nov. 12.
The Wasafi TV and Wasafi FM programs are available in the open DVB-S2 / QPSK MPEG-4 broadcast at a frequency of 4154 MHz (speed: 2665, polarization - V, FEC - 3/4).
The total number of television and radio channels transmitted via the Azerbaijani satellite exceeds 100. The Azerspace / Africasat-1a satellite is located at the orbital position at 46 degrees east longitude. It is designed to provide TV broadcast services, create VSAT multiservice networks and provide government communications.
The Azerspace / Africasat-1a service area includes countries of Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
