One phishing attack productive for scammers accounted for 284 websites in the .az domain in Azerbaijan, which is 0.2 percent of the total number of attacks registered in the .az domain, according to Netcraft analytical company's report, posted on the company's website.
The number of phishing attacks in Azerbaijan’s segment of Internet decreased by 1.7 percent in November compared to October.
More than 31,300 websites have been registered in the "az" domain zone.
The analysis is based on the Netcraft Toolbar program, which is a plug-in for browsers. The program notifies users of a potentially dangerous Internet resources and prevention of a phishing attack.
According to Netcraft, one phishing attack accounted for 278 websites in Ukraine, 772 websites – in Uzbekistan, 410 websites – in Russia, 339 websites – in Kyrgyzstan, 670 websites – in Belarus, 387 websites – Armenia, 930 websites – in Kazakhstan and 243 websites - Georgia.
