The electronic industry is developing in Turkmenistan, as well as the manufacture of electronic and electrical products, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
The Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov said about the promotion of the electronic industry in the country during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
Turkmenistan’s Aydyn Gijeler company, that was established with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Construction Production of the country, plays an important role in expanding production, the report says.
An important point of the electronic industry is digitalization, for the development of which efforts are already being made in the country.

Turkmenistan is improving the legal framework for E-commerce as well. The laws of Turkmenistan on communications, on legal regulation of the development of the Internet and the provision of Internet services in Turkmenistan, on information and its protection, on cybersecurity, on electronic document, electronic document management and digital services and others were adopted.
In early February 2020, it was announced that $10 million were allocated for the creation of IT centers in Ashgabat and the country's regions.
