An agreement was reached on the development and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Yashnabad Innovation Technology Park under the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan and the InnovUp Association of Italy, Trend reports citing the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Italy.
On the initiative of the Ministry of Innovative Development and with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Italy, an online meeting was organized between the technology parks of Uzbekistan and Italy, which was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan, the Yashnabad Innovation Technology Park and the Italian Association of Innovations and Startups “InnovUp”, as well as representatives of a number of technology parks and the Italian-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce.
The event discussed the development of international cooperation between the two countries in the field of innovative infrastructures, in particular technology parks, innovation centers, science parks, the implementation of joint programs and promising start-up projects.
It is noted that the parties expressed interest in establishing cooperation in new projects and expanding support for start-ups, exchange programs, cooperation between the private and public sectors.
Also, based on the best practices of the Italian side in the implementation of start-up projects, the proposal of the Embassy and the Ministry of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan to sign memorandums of understanding was approved by the Italian side.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the development and signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Yashnabad Innovation Technology Park under the Ministry of Innovative Development and the InnovUp Association of Italy.
“It is expected that this document will serve the development of start-up and innovative projects and the introduction of a system of exchange of experience, as well as Uzbek-Italian cooperation in this area in the future,” the message said.
InnovUp is an Italian ecosystem for the development of advanced innovations and startups, which is an amalgamation of innovation centers, including innovation centers, science and technology parks, small and medium-sized businesses, incubators, accelerators, and investors.
