BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. Azerbaijan produced over 1,400 laptops from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that this figure represents a significant rise of 601 units, or 75 percent, compared to the previous year.
In addition, Azerbaijan produced around 1,640 desktop computers and over 115,000 measuring devices last month.
Compared to the same months of the previous year, production of desktop computers increased by more than 1,180 units, or 3.6 times, and production of measuring instruments grew by 2.4 times.
In total, Azerbaijan produced goods worth approximately 50.9 million manat ($29.9 million) in the computer, electronics, optics, and electrical equipment sectors in the first quarter of 2025.
Moreover, the country's production of computers, electronics, and optical products increased by 31.4 percent, while the production of electrical equipment saw a slight decrease of 2.4 percent when compared to the same period last year.
