Work is underway to improve operations at the 'Turkmenabat-2 station' of Turkmenabad branch of the Turkmen Demiryollary (Railway) company, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun news.
Incoming trains arrive via railway tracks with a total length of 7,100 meters, and are directed to designated locations.
In general, the work planned for the first half of this year at the station has been exceeded by 10 percent.
Earlier, employees of the Turkmen Railways and representatives of the Turkmen Demirellary (Railways) company held a meeting via videoconference with representatives of the railway Department of the Ministry of Transport of Afghanistan. During the meeting, the parties considered a number of issues related to railway communication.
Turkmenistan Railways made it possible to buy online tickets by using Altyn Asyr or Senagat payment cards.
The e-tickets will be available for purchase via a special application, developed by Turkmenistan Railways for Android and IOS operating systems.
