The volume of goods transported through the Azerbaijani section of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) corridor from January through October 2020 amounted to 32.7 million tons, Trend reports citing the reporting data of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
From January through October 2020, the cargo turnover in the country amounted to 7.7 billion ton-kilometers, which is 16.06 percent less compared to from January through October 2019.
At the same time, as follows from the report of the State Statistics Committee, 17.9 million tons or 54.9 percent of all cargo was transported by road; about 10.6 million tons or 32.4 percent of all cargo was transported by rail and 4.16 million tons or 12.7 percent - by sea.
In addition, the report of the State Statistics Committee notes that about 6.8 million tons, or 20.8 percent of all cargo are transit cargo.
